Dawn L. Hassell
Ms. Hassell is the Managing Attorney of the Hassell Law Group. She is among a distinguished group of lawyers who have obtained judgments and results in their cases in excess of 1 Million dollars: “Million Dollar Advocates Forum®, The Top Trial Lawyers in America®.” Forbes Magazine recently selected her for inclusion in its “California Leaders in the Law” edition.
Ms. Hassell is a “Northern California Super Lawyer,” an honor reserved for the top 5% of all lawyers in their practice area (2014-2016). San Francisco Magazine has continuously named her one of “The Top Women Attorneys in Northern California.” (2014-2016). She has a “Superb” “10” rating on the legal website Avvo.com.
Ms. Hassell served on the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association from 2002-2012. Ms. Hassell obtained her J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Politics, Philosophy and Law from Binghamton University in New York. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude and finished in the top 1% of her undergraduate class. She was admitted to the State Bar in California in 1998. She has published legal articles on trial and wrongful death and been a panelist at seminars for the Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB) and the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association. Ms. Hassell is a sustaining member of the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and WalkSF, a pedestrian advocacy organization.
Lisa A. Villasenor
Lisa is an experienced litigator and trial attorney who has worked on both sides of the case. She has 100 percent success rate in 12 trials to verdict-including a wrongful death case, a toxic-mold case on behalf of a home owner and several auto accident cases. Her winning record speaks to her skill, insight, and dedication. She was admitted to the Bar in California in 1988. Lisa has been with the firm since early 2014.
Before joining The Hassell Law Group as of counsel in 2014, Lisa practiced plaintiff’s side asbestos and pharmaceutical litigation with some of the top firms in San Francisco. Before that she was a defense attorney at a top San Francisco firm, Manning, Marder, et al. and a partner in the law firm of Prestholt, Kleeger, Fidone & Villasenor. Lisa managed the Prestholt firm’s San Francisco office for 3 years. Her litigation experience includes personal injury, premises liability, toxic torts, wrongful death, government-entity liability, and insurance bad faith. After the 1994 Northridge earthquake, Lisa worked on bad-faith litigation against 20th Century Insurance Company.
Lisa is a California native. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Cal State University, Long Beach and her law degree from Loyola Law School of Los Angeles. During her school years, she worked in her father’s insurance brokerage giving her solid insight into insurance issues. Lisa co-chairs the Business Development Committee of the Queen’s Bench Bar Association, is also a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, and Walk SF (a pedestrian safety advocacy organization).
Judy is a senior attorney at the law firm. Judy joined the law firm in 2008. During her career, Judy has successfully represented injured plaintiffs in catastrophic accident cases at some of the most prominent law firms in the Bay Area with case values exceeding $1 million. Prior to joining the Hassell Law Group she worked at The Veen Firm and The Law Offices of Joseph Carcione, Jr. Judy has been to trial on numerous personal injury cases which were won or resolved favorably for her clients. Judy has an undefeated record of wins in all cases she has tried before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board. Judy is involved in litigating cases involving serious accidents and injuries for The Hassell Law Group. She has litigated a substantial number of serious construction site accident injury cases and is also experienced in the dual representation of clients in civil and workers compensation cases. Ms. Graziano is a Phi Kappa Phi undergraduate, and a California native. She has been a member of the California Bar since 1999. She is a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association.
Grace was admitted to practice law in California 11 years ago, in 2006. She has worked at the law firm for over 8 years handling personal injury matters.
Grace has consistently obtained excellent results for our clients. Grace went to trial on personal injury case in San Mateo County against a $0 offer from State Farm Insurance Company. She obtained a court judgment for our client in the amount of $384,640. The judge also awarded cost of proof sanctions, interest on the judgment, and ordered defendant to pay our client’s case costs. Grace has also negotiated sizable severance packages for employees from their employers.
Grace received her B.A. degree from Yale University. She obtained her law degree from University of San Francisco School of Law. During law school, Grace was involved in the Employment Law clinic and represented individuals who were wrongfully discharged from their employment in EEOC and DFEH Mediations. She also assisted individuals in wage and hour claims against their employers in DLSE claims and hearings. Grace was involved in the Mediation Clinic in law school where she acted as a mediator in Small Claims cases and helped parties resolve their disputes out of court.
Andrew T. Haling
Andrew Haling is an associate attorney with the law firm. He became licensed to practice law in California in 2010, and has been with the law firm over 7 years. Andrew has assisted many clients in obtaining excellent results in their personal injury cases. He has represented the law firm’s clients in two bench trials and won both of them. Andrew assists in all aspects of the law firm’s practice from the commencement of a claim through trial.
Andrew is a graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law, where he was an active member of the school’s competitive moot court team. In the National Moot Court Competition he was recognized as one of the top oralists in the western regional competition. He also participated in the Investor Justice Clinic, where he represented investors wronged by their brokers whom they trusted. Andrew earned a B.A. from Arizona State University. He was admitted to the Bar in 2010. Andrew is a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association and the Consumer Attorneys of California. He is also a member of the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and of WalkSF, a pedestrian advocacy organization. In his spare time he likes to play hockey.
Samantha is an associate attorney at the firm and handles personal injury matters on behalf of our clients. She obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Diego, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She obtained her J.D. degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. During law school, Samantha was a recipient of four prestigious CALI Awards for California Civil Procedure, Mediation, Remedies, and Commercial Contract Drafting. Samantha was a Senior Executive Editor for the Hastings International and Comparative Law Review and a member of the UC Hastings Alternative Dispute Resolution team. Samantha was admitted to practice in California in 2016 and is a member of the California Young Lawyer’s Association.
George M. Morris
George Morris is an associate attorney at the Hassell Law Group, a P.C. He works on personal injury cases and insurance claims on behalf of our clients.
George received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, in English and Fine Arts. He obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Hastings, College of the Law.
Prior to joining our firm, George clerked for Justice Therese Marie Stewart of the California Court of Appeal, First District. He also worked for a year at Kornblum, Cochran, Erickson and Harbison, LLP in San Francisco on personal injury cases, public entity claims, and medical malpractice cases. He also worked at the Family Violence Law Center in Alameda County.
During law school George received an award for Outstanding Achievement in Pro Bono Services for over 150 hours of service to the San Francisco community.
George is a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyer Association, American Bar Association, Bar Association of San Francisco and California Young Lawyer’s Association. He lives in San Francisco, loves to oil paint, run along the bay, and cook with his friends.
